The beans used for this tablet come from the Hacienda Jesús María farm in Comalcalco, in the Tabasco region, in south-eastern Mexico. Founded in 1917, the farm is still run by the same family. Certified organic, it employs ecological farming practices: rain irrigation, fertilization with cocoa compost, natural pesticides and polyculture. With its own chocolate, cocoa products and immersive guided tours, it also seeks to promote local culture and the protection of the environment and regional biodiversity.
