Description:
This bar is made from cocoa beans from the Copán region in Honduras, from a variety called el banqueto de los dioses, the banquet of the gods. They are grown by some 500 small producers from the co-op COAGRICSAL and certified fairtrade and organic. The co-op helps producers boost their profits while promoting sustainability and innovation. It also oversees a reforestation initiative, as well as social and infrastructures projects, like a drying and fermentation facility for cocoa.
